We’ve heard about ads being run on various online job listing sites that purport to be Starlight. While we do occasionally advertise job openings on such websites, we would never hire candidates without speaking with them first and appropriately screening them.

We would NEVER send an applicant or an employee money orders or checks, asking them to deposit the checks into their own bank accounts on our behalf. If you have responded to such an ad or received envelopes with checks or money orders, please contact us so we can work with you to report this to the appropriate authorities.

Public Relations Intern

Starlight is currently hiring for a part-time public relations intern.  The intern will be responsible for managing a specific PR project. Duties would include pitching, creating media lists and press materials, and direct outreach to Starlight’s hospital partners.  Past public relations intern experience is a must. This position would report directly to the Director of PR, Marketing & Communications and is unpaid.  Related Skills or Knowledge:  General computer literacy including Word and Excel, strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills and the ability to follow-through on projects.  Please send resumes to lauren@starlightnyc.org.
